Implementation of Electronic Lab Notebook at CRG
Implementation of Electronic Lab Notebook at CRG
This hands-on course is tailor-made for new labs joining CRG but could also be a refresher for those who already use the electronic lab notebook (ELN). During this introductory course, we will cover the basics of the ELNs, such as the comparison between different ELNs, understanding what information should be included there, and tips for structuring your ELN effectively, all in line with the institutional data management policy.
Additionally, participants will receive specific input on utilizing ELNs on Mac and Linux systems, ensuring compatibility across diverse operating environments.
At the course, participants will also have the opportunity to explore CRG's standardized ELN templates, aimed to streamline data recording and organization of resources such as: repositories, protocols and templates related to wet lab techniques. They will learn how to use and share these templates to optimize their research workflows with the lab members, or collaborators from other CRG groups.
Topics that are going to be addressed:

- Background information
- ELN: Recommended structure
