PRBB Activities

Next February 11, the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the PRBB organizes two online activities to commemorate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, with participation of CRG women scientists.

• Round table: at 12pm, there will be a round table (in Spanish) with female researchers from PRBB centres, who will discuss topics, such as the impostor syndrome, job difficulties associated with gender or feminism in the scientific field, among others. To attend the event please register.

• Wikimarathon: from 5 to 7pm, you will be able to participate in our traditional Wikimarathon, where we will aim to increase the visibility of female scientists through the creation, edition or translation of Wikipedia. For more information and register:

• Finally, do not miss the series of videos "Soy mujer y científica" ("I am a woman and scientist") that will be disseminated through social media, where young scientists from all PRBB centers present themselves and talk about their research and their experience as scientists from a gender perspective. #100tífiques

The research centres of the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) and the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation (FCRI), with the support from the Department of Education of the Government of Catalonia, are organising the 3rd edition of the #100tífiques programme, which will celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science next 11th February, by organising more than 400 online talks by female scientists to schools all over Catalonia.

The objective is to promote STEAM disciplines among 11-12 years old students (from the 6th year in primary school to the 1st year in secondary school) while also recognising the contributions of women researchers to the advancement of science.

Several women scientists at the CRG are participating in this successful initiative, which we hope will inspire lots of girls and boys all over Catalonia to pursue a career in science:

Activitats pel dia de la dona i la nena en ciència

Activitats PRBB

El proper 11 de febrer, el Comitè d’Igualtat, Diversitat i Inclusió del PRBB organitza dues activitats online en commemoració del Dia Internacional de la Dona i la Nena en Ciència, amb participació de científiques del CRG.

• Taula rodona a les 12h via zoom. Investigadores dels centres del PRBB debatran sobre diversos temes, com la síndrome de l’impostor, les dificultats laborals associades al gènere o el feminisme en l’àmbit científic, entre altres. Per poder assistir a la retransmissió de l’esdeveniment és necessari registrar-se.

• Wikimarató de 17h a 19h. També de forma virtual, tindrà lloc la ja tradicional Wikimarató, una sessió on s’intentarà augmentar la visibilitat de les dones científiques a través de la creació, l’edició o la traducció d’entrades a la Viquipèdia. • Finalment, no us perdeu la sèrie de vídeos "Soy mujer y científica" que es difondran a través de les xarxes socials, on joves investigadores de tots els centres del PRBB es presenten i parlen de la seva recerca i de la seva experiència com a científiques des d’una perspectiva de gènere. El centres de recerca del Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) i la Fundació Catalana per a la Recerca i la Innovació (FCRI), amb el suport del Departament d’Educació de la Generalitat de Catalunya, organitzen la 3a edició del programa #100tífiques, per tal de celebrar el Dia Internacional de la Dona i la Nena a la Ciència, el proper 11 de febrer, organitzant més de 400 xerrades en línia de científiques a escoles de tota Catalunya.

L’objectiu és promoure les disciplines STEAM entre els estudiants d’11-12 anys (de 6è d’educació primària i 1r d’ESO), tot reconeixent les contribucions de les dones investigadores en l’avenç de la ciència.
